The hunger games
There was an interview for participants to introduce themselves. Katniss talked about the reason why she volunteered for her sister. Peeta said he was sad because he could not meet his lover after the game even though he won the game. He lied that his lover is Katniss. Because of his lying, Katniss and Peeta could get attention from the audience and game makers.
Do you think that white lie can be justified in any situations?
I do not think Peeta's lying is not white lie, but I think it is related because that is for both Peeta and Katniss.
This is an interesting question! I think that telling the truth is the best option, but that in some dangerous situations it can be necessary to withhold some truth in order to protect vulnerable people. In those situations, giving partial truth instead of lying completely still seems better to me, but I think that all depends on what is happening.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteSome people might be imposed to tell lie. I think lie is lie, so there is no white lie or black lie. The most hurtful kinds of lying are ones related to feelings or emotions.
Thanks,
